Professor Alison McGregor

Alison McGregor is a Professor of Musculoskeletal Biodynamics in the Department of Surgery and Cancer and Head of Undergraduate Science at Imperial College London. She trained as a physiotherapist at King’s College Hospital qualifying in 1989 and then went on to study Biomedical Engineering at Surrey University which led to a PhD project in spinal mechanics and low back pain at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School.

Professor Karim Meeran

Professor Meeran qualified from the Royal Free Hospital in 1988 and trained in Endocrinology at Hammersmith Hospital and St Bartholomew’s Hospital. He is Professor of Endocrinology, Deputy Director of Medical Education and Lead Clinician for Endocrinology. He has established a strong clinical and educational link with the Abu Dhabi Imperial College London Diabetes Centre. He has an international reputation for the treatment of endocrine disease and has published extensively in this field.

Dr Amir Sam

Dr Amir Sam is a Senior Lecturer and Consultant Endocrinologist at the Hammersmith Hospital. He graduated from UCL with prizes and distinctions in all pre-clinical and clinical subjects. During his undergraduate training he received a scholarship to study Endocrinology at the Harvard Medical School. He completed his post-graduate medical training in Oxford and London, during which he received several teaching awards. He completed his PhD in Neuroendocrinology as a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College London. He teaches medical students in all years and holds a number of roles in the Medical School.

Professor Steve Holloway

Professor Steve Holloway is the Pro-Vice-Chancellor with responsibility for entrepreneurship and Civic engagement at the University of Liverpool. He graduated from Leicester University with a PhD in Theoretical Solid State Physics in 1976, working in the field of gas-surface dynamics. Previous roles include the Dean of Science, The Dean of Science and Engineering assuming position the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Science and Engineering.>

Professor Arpan Guha

Arpan has a Chair in the School of Medicine at the University of Liverpool. He is also a Consultant Intensivist and an Associate Medical Director at the he Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust. He is also the Regional Lead for Organ Donation for Cheshire, Merseyside, North Wales and the Isle of Man.

Anne Marie Kelly

Dr Anne-Marie Kelly is Hospital Dean at University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust and Chemical Pathologist at Wythenshawe Hospital.
